Hundred is a broad-spectrum insect growth regulator (IGR) that is highly effective for controlling armyworms. Its active component, Lufenuron, prevents the synthesis of chitin in insects. In the absence of chitin, the larvae of Lepidopterans cannot form a hard outer shell (exoskeleton). As their internal organs remain exposed to the air, these insects succumb to dehydration shortly after hatching or molting (shedding their former, smaller shell). Hundred possesses broad-spectrum activity and can be applied to a variety of crops and vegetables, offering an economical solution at very low application rates for controlling Lepidoptera.
