Vento is a ryanoids-class insecticide. Its active ingredient, Chlorantraniliprole, is part of a group of selective insecticides that employ a novel method to effectively manage various pests from the order Lepidoptera, as well as some Coleoptera, Diptera, and Isoptera species. Vento can be applied to a wide range of fruits, vegetables, potatoes, and rice. Additionally, "Vento" is suitable for use on cotton, turf grass, ornamental plants, and public landscaped areas. Products that contain chlorantraniliprole may come in the form of granules, concentrates, or liquids.
